Tales of… the here and now.

Now

Random stuff I would post on Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon and/or Bluesky. In English, German , or even worse: mixed.

(And for the moment: way too many post about The Bazaar.)

I was quite happy with my overpowered multi-attack weapons build. Till that 559 Burn (in combat) Fiery Subscraper overpowered me.

The Bazaar: Overpowered by a nasty Burn build

Like cutting through butter. I rarely use the Railgun or the Atomic Clock. But a Shiny Railgun and a Turbo Atomic Clock with six Ammo just blasted through the competition. (I just shouldn’t have picked a fight with Lord Arken. I couldn’t handle his Vitality Potion.)

The Bazaar: 10 Wins, Gold Victory. With a Dooley-Railgun-Tech-build.

Uh, another wild mix. I threw away a nice Toxic Grenade + Powder Flask + Silencer + Orange Julian + Crow's Nest combo. Just because I got an Obsidian Tortuga. This worked fine with Bill Dozer and Electric Eels. Even though I had no healing. Can’t believe this ended in a perfect win.

The Bazaar: 10 Wins, Perfect victory, with Obsidian Tortuga + Bill Dozer + Old Saltclaw + Heavy Electric Eeels

Ok, Windmill, I see your value now. In this run I ended with a wild Windwill, Apropos Chapeau, Draconic Rage, Restorative Yo-Yo mix. Pretty OP. But that Obsidian Powder Keg nearly finished me in the last encounter. Good thing I had enough health. That one was fun.

The Bazaar, last encounter, wild Windmill build against Obsidian Powder Keg

Holy crap. Another oppressive build. Toxic Katana with 1.6s Cooldown, a Turbo Silencer that adds a 2s Haste for every stab with the Katana. Pendulum that charges for 2s. And the ability Venomous Blade: The first 8 times you use a Weapon each fight, Charge 1 Poison item 1 second(s). This adds up to one of the fastest builds I’ve ever had. With 300 Poison on the enemy before you even know what has happened.

And I just realised this game needs an option to download a video of complete fights.

The Bazaar: 10 Wins, last encounter, Vanessa against Vanessa

One of the most oppressive builds I’ve ever had. Obsidian Jabalian Drum – what a combination. I didn’t even need the Skyscraper.

The Bazaar: 10 Wins, Gold Victory, another weapons build with Pygmalien

It was a gamble to put in the Octopus in the last encounter. Or so I thought. Cause that animal works so well with Yo-Yo and Knife Set.

The Bazaar: 10 wins with Pyg, last encounter against Vanessa

Uh, it’s one of those rare perfect victories, at least for me. Then again, an Obsidian Matchbox as starting item, with Jabalian Drums, and later the Obsidian Caltrops, was hardly any competition. Felt rather unfair on my part.

The Bazaar: 10 Wins, Perfect Victory, with Pygmalien

Shielded Catfish for the perfect win. I think this is the first time those Diamond Fangs did something for me (Your Small Diamond-tier items have their Cooldowns reduced by 30%).

The Bazaar: Last encounter with Vanessa, against Vanessa. The Shielded Catfish did 1438 Poison, and 14380 Shield.

Tzz. Here I have Restorative Volcanic Vents, with Haste and Charge support, plus  Draconic Rage (When you use a Medium item, one of your Burn items gains +10 Burn for the fight), a lifestealing Toxic Sharkray on top. And it was still close. A few encounters with too much Slow/Freeze nearly prevented my ten wins.

Vor Jahren habe ich mein Konto bei #LinkedIn gelöscht, weil ich genervt war. Neulich habe mich vorsichtig wieder angemeldet. Um mal zu schauen. Ich war nach 2min direkt wieder hart genervt. Nun nun kommt eine E-Mail mit »Nicolai, folgen Sie Friedrich Merz, Bundeskanzler bei Bundeskanzleramt«. #aargh

It has been some time since I had my last ten-win-run in The Bazaar. In this case I didn’t have to put too much effort in. I got an Restorative Catfish as start item. Together with a Shadowed Cloak this little fish was hard to beat.

The new season of Hearthstone Battlegrounds hasn’t clicked for me yet. It seems to rely too much on luck and getting the right trinkets. But here I finally got something decent. Plenty of Tarecgosa courtesy of trinket one. With trinket two being: Give each of your minions Health equal to its attack. Got me an easy first place in the end.

Hearthstone Battlegrounds: A decent Dragon Army

Today (effectively just 25 years later) I learned where this sample originated. And that David McCallum was a classically trained musician who recorded four albums in the 1960s.

TIL. There is a new #browser in the works (with a new web engine): Ladybug. A first alpha release for early adopters is planned for 2026. So far, what they have done with a small team is quite impressive.

Hey. New patch. And I am back to: I hate this game!
Cause my quick clicks on stuff that worked one way now works slightly different and screws me up. I understand the need to balance things, but just tell people what is behind some of the encounters!

The Bazaar: One lousy win with Vanessa

I am currently testing the browser Polypane (again). I was surprised when I noticed some other browsers I had never testet (or even heard of). Arc (though I hear that one is dead already), Zen, Sizzy, Dia (somewhere down the road). Anything else?

Uh, a rare late night perfect victory with Pygmalien. I had quite a lucky start. But as soon I got that Jambalian Drum I went into Destroyer Mode. The first time I actually used the Dragon Tooth as well.

The Bazaar: 10 wins, Perfect Victory with Pygmalien and a Jabalian Drum

Hmm. I am not sold on the current season in Hearthstone Battlegrounds. I don’t mind having trinkets back. But they seem highly unbalanced. Either you get an overpowered set or the run just isn’t fun. Well, this will not distract me from The Bazaar.

Hearthstone Battlegrounds: Overpowered Elementals build. Two Nomi Stickers give Elementals +6/+6 for every Elemental played,

After some bad and mediocre runs I got my hands on two Nomi Stickers. With those two it was hard to loose. I destroyed the last opponent.

I can’t believe I lost against an Infernal Greatsword?! Then again, he managed to heal for 3859 at the right time. In the end I had 2338 burn on me. I probably should not have gone with that slow Octopus.

The Bazaar: Last encounter, my Poppy Field / Shielded Katana build, against an Infernal Greatsword

Oh boy. Icy Uwashiwali Bird, that triggered four times, Fiery Steam Ladle, Fiery Snow Globe, Overheal Regeneration (gain 10 Regeneration when you overheal). I thought this was an overpowered Fire/Ice build. Turns out some people are even more overpowered. Well, nine wins.

The Bazaar: Last encounter, my Fire/Ice build lost gainst a Fire/Ice/Heal build with an OP Luxury Kiuas
